Whenever there was an outside seem it was very bright, unless it was nighttime, like at the bar-b-que, it was very dark then. The colors suited the situation very well. For the most part, the show was very bright, and tight very dark. The flashbacks were very personal, which makes you wonder what’s happening, and why is he having these flashbacks. Whenever there’s a flashback, it is through the eyes of Brody, and they always seemed to reveal something about him, rather than tell the whole story. There was a constant flip between the characters, and they were heavily edited. This is especially seen in the scene where Carrie broke into Brody’s house to plat the audio and cameras, and also when they were in a meeting showing the army men on the video. In the beginning of the episode, it seemed as if they directors relied on heavy use of editing. A lot of the dialogues are personal and close up. There are many different kinds of shots in Homeland, manly close-ups. What does the finger code mean? Who is Brody communicating with?.Will he say something to anybody? Why is he covering it up? Brody clearly knows what happened to the other sergeant, and he is traumatized. Does Brody know about his wife’s affair? If so, why hasn’t he said anything yet? And, will she say something to him about it?.There are plenty of unanswered questions from the first episode. All along, Carrie is trying to figure out what happened to the other Sargent that was with Brody, but he isn’t giving her much information concerning him, so she is basically trying to force it out of him. To Chris it’s like he never knew his dad at all since he was so young when he left. It is obvious that she and Brody had a great relation before he was taken away, and now some kind of innocent flame is being rekindled Chris is Brody’s young son who he has not seen since he was a baby. His daughter seemed to be more interested in him than she is with her mother. His wife, despite the fact that she didn’t have any real information that he was dead, had an affair with a man for the time that Brody was absent. When he gets home he reunites with his wife and two children sending them on a roller coaster ride. In Homeland Sergeant Nick Brody is returning home after eight long years of being held as a prisoner of war. I will give a thorough briefing of both shows, and how the story lines worked in each. When viewing both Prisoners of War and Homeland, I didn’t note any big differences as far as the storyline go. The political violence in the two shows correlates directly with the issues that Tasker discussed. According to Tasker, “these shows make use of the genre’s long-established strategies for the understanding and dramatization of deviance and criminality mobilizing tropes of otherness, they pick up on the military inflections of the “war on drugs,” the “war on crime,” and the “war on terror.” In the case of these two shows, they are mostly focused on the war on terror. His is due to the fact that the two shows portray a form of Islamic culture of being prisoners of war. Israel is truly a huge player and a very progressive society for the media industry.Įven though Homeland and Prisoners of war did not come out directly following the 9/11 attack, they still seem to be one of those shows like described in the terror TV article. Israeli scientists are a major contributor to the advancement of many engineering fields in the world, and it is only getting better. Technological science is very big in Israel, and it is one of their leading innovations. We are now seeing a bigger number of women succeeding in the media industry, and it is very beneficial. For a long time the media industry in Israel has been highly dominated by only men.
